If so, then you've probably seen Andrew Heaney with the Texas Rangers! ⚾️ Andrew is a 2009 grad from Putnam City High School and also attended Rollingwood Elementary and James L. Capps Middle School. Our amazing teachers and staff participated in the Putnam City Teaching & Learning Conference for today's professional development day. 📚 These dedicated professional educators, leaders, mentors, lifelong learners, and superheroes acquired many valuable new skills and lessons today that they'll use to teach their students tomorrow. ✏️
Elementary students from across the District attended the Hispanic Heritage Living History Museum today at Putnam City West! "Seat at the Table" students from all three high schools brought prominent Hispanics, past and present, to life as a unique and innovative way to celebrate and teach Hispanic Heritage.
The Rollingwood Elementary Rockets celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month in a fun and unique way during their Lift-Off Assembly this week. They had special presentations from notable people like Frida Kahlo, Celia Cruz, and a few others as well as fantastic musical performances by Mexican singer, Imelda Juarez, and guitarist extraordinaire, Edgar Cruz. 🤩 What a great experience for the Rockets 🚀
If you missed Parent & Family Night, then you really missed out on some good information! There were different departments, vendors, and organizations from across Putnam City and the metro, all of them ready to help and answer questions. Thank you to everyone that came out and a big thank you to all of the vendors!

Bilingual Book Club 📖 at the library was a huge success! The kids had a blast reading and discussing books in both English and Spanish with a fun watercolor activity to express some creativity.
